Shipwreck Drafting Laboratory and Archive
The Shipwreck Drafting Lab is part of the Program in Maritime Studies facility at ECU’s West Research Campus. Serving as the primary drafting space for students, faculty, and staff, this lab is outfitted with traditional recording equipment to teach the foundations of ship reconstruction and lines drawings. The lab ithe home for the Ruppé Memorial Library that contains reference material related to maritime history and archaeology, along with gray literature and an archive of primary sources. Additionally, the archive contains original archaeological site plans that date to the beginning of the Maritime Studies Program in 1981.
